    Enterprise Search Accelerator

The enterprise search accelerator provides one enterprise portal that users can search and view important customer information and documents from several sources within the organization. Additionally, the technology, Business Data Catalogue (BDC), and techniques used with this accelerator can be employed to surface data from other line of business applications to further enrich the MOSS portal.

The BDC makes it easy for people to connect to, find, and act on information stored in structured line-of-business systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM) by using a declarative framework to securely integrate them into search results. With the BDC customers and partners can configure actionable audience-specific portals, dashboards and mash-up interfaces for this data without writing any code.

Release 1 (this release) includes key documentation on how to deploy MOSS Enterprise Search connecting to Microsoft Dynamics CRM on the standard Microsoft Virtual PC demonstration image.

Release 2 will provide additional documentation and tools to allow you to customize your enterprise search solution for different customer and partner requirements.

    MS CRM Accelerators

I suppose seeing it was the last thing that I looked at before starting this blog, Accelerators for Dynamics CRM seems like a sensible starting point.

Whether you are a partner or a customer these add-ons can be of great benefit, mainly because they are FREE.

As the MS CRM community expands so do the extra's that are available. If you are like me even the best thought out plans to provide aditional functionality for MS CRM can tend to take a while due to the fact that customers come along and of course they come first and the R&D get set aside.

Enter Microsoft (MS), the guys at MS are doing a great job in assisting the MS CRM community. Released in October and November this year were the following accelerators:
Have a look and try downloading them, code and documentation are available. I find that loading them up into a VPC image to demo they work a treat as a POC. There are a number of other accelerators due for release and it is worth noting that they all follow the SDK therefore all supported by Microsoft.

Other accelerators due for release are:

           Analytics
